•• VAMPIRE BASICS •• 1. Sunlight. They can go in it, but they are weakened by it. Weakened as in pretty much mortal. Most vampires choose not to go in sunlight because of this, since it is much, much easier to kill a vampire when they’re in the sun. And no, they don’t sparkle.
2. Wooden stakes? HAHAHAHAHA!
3. So how do you hurt or kill a vampire? Silver. When cut with silver a strong burning sensation fills the vampire, as well as intense pain that would leave even Cain temporarily crippled. These silver wounds take much longer to heal. Silver piercing the heart can be survivable--but if that silver is twisted or moved the vampire is dead. Decapitation--using silver is lethal, any other form of decapitation is survivable for older vampires. Fire! Vampires are highly flammable, and full body burns would take a long time for even the strongest of vampires to heal. The fire spreads so rapidly, it can be consider lethal to a vampire.
4. All vampires can heal faster than humans, but it all depends on how much blood they have had. Freshly fed vampires will heal right away, while a starved vampire will take a few hours to a few days. Large wounds, like being burned, are survivable for the older vampires, but it may take a few decades for them to fully heal from it because of all of the blood they need to heal.
5. No, they don’t turn into bats. They can’t turn into smoke. Sorry Vlad.
6. Heightened senses, strength and speed are obvious. Some have it more than others, which is an ability not a given.
7. All vampires have the ability to read others thoughts, including other vampires. However, a Master cannot read the mind of any he has made. Nor can the Child read the mind of their Master. More powerful vampires are capable of blocking out younger vampires.
8. Which brings me to another point, a vampire can only turn someone once every 100 years. That means each vampire on the site can only turn one person. Ever.
9. Humans of darker skin who are turned into vampires don’t get white skin, they just get much paler from their original complexion.
10. Vampires can NOT eat food. Since their digestive system is not functioning, the food would sit in their stomach and rot. This would make a vampire very sick and the food would have to be removed surgically (sounds painful doesn't it?). As for liquids, they can drink anything they please but it is instantly absorbed into their blood stream. Meaning coffee, pop or large quantities of juice will cause a massive sugar high and alcohol will cause pretty much cause instant drunkenness.
•• HALFBREEDS ••
1. NO NO NO NO NO NO NO NO NO!
2. Vampires CAN’T have children. They are DEAD!
3. If a witch is turned into a vampire she is not some super witch-vampire, she is just a vampire. Witches lose their magic when they are turned.
•• HUMANS ••
1. Most humans can’t tell that a person is a vampire. Hell, most humans don’t believe in vampires! Something may seem unusual about the vampire, but a human wouldn’t be able to pinpoint it as vampirism. The exception to this being any Lamia Latro member, who are trained to notice this. Witches can also tell a vampire from a human.
2. Yes, some vampires have human slaves. Can you be one? You’d have to ask the vampire.
3. Since not all vampires kill when they feed, your fed upon human wouldn’t remember it happening. A drop of vampire blood can heal the bite marks, and the telepathy that all vampires naturally have allows them to make it seem as if they were never there in the human’s mind.
•• TURNING PEOPLE •• 1. Vampires can turn both witches and humans, but once again witches don't keep their power.
2. A vampire can only turn someone every 100 years; they do not have the energy to do it twice within the came century.
3. The vampire must first drink from the human or witch, then the human or witch must drink from the vampire. This process is often repeated several times in one sitting to make the human or witcha stronger vampire.
4. After being turned vampires can continues to drink the blood of their Master's to get stronger, but it is the Master's choice.
5. The Underlings are bound to their Master through blood and are part of that Master's line, thus bound to their laws and the laws of the Master's Master.

•• WITCH BASICS ••
1. Witchcraft is the oldest known religion on the earth. It predates all others by thousands of years.
2. It is an earth based religion centering on the worship of the Goddess and the God the earth and the moon and the sun, etc.
3. There are five aspects of this: earth, air, fire, water and spirit. This is something that all witches live by.
4. They draw their power from the elements around them, but they always live by the three fold law: whatever you send out will come back to you weather it be something good or something bad.
5. Magic doesn’t just happen, it can take time and years for it to come back to you.
6. Most witches are female, though there are males. No they are not warlocks, they are witches as well. Sometimes wizards, depending on the male’s preference of terms.
7. They work with herbs, candles, and other such things.
8. No they do not worship Satan so get that out of your mind RIGHT NOW.
9. Liliana Marie Vess is currently the most powerful witch there is.
•• WITCHES AND VAMPIRES ••
1. Witches and vampires do NOT get along. The vampires abandoned them in their time of need, so they don’t see eye to eye.
2. Witches obviously know vampires exist and can recognize them immediately.
3. There are, of course, some who want to help get rid of the vampires and are on the side of Lamia Latro, but they aren’t a member.
4. When turned into a vampire, the witch loses her power. No questions asked.
•• WITCHES AND HUMANS •• 1. Witches look human. No warts, no green skin. Human. They could be anyone.
2. They are pretty much everyone day people. A normal human couldn’t tell a witch from anyone else if they tried.
•• SPELLS •• 1. There is a wide variety of spells a witch can do, but the amount of training and experience depends on the success of that spell. They are casted through rituals with herbs, every day items, candles, etc.
2. NOT ALL SPELLS WILL WORK ON VAMPIRES! Nor will they work the same on a vampire as they would a human. A killing spell wouldn’t work at all on a vampire, but a possession one might make the vampire a little stunned.
3. To become a witch you must have at least one parent who is a witch as well. They might not practice it themselves, but have the magic inside of them.
4. When a witch has a child with a human there is a 50/50 chance of it being a witch. Even then, it won’t show up until late in the child’s life. If your witch has a child PM Gwen and she will decide whether it is human or witch.
For more info see here or PM Gwen.

•• LAMIA LATRO BASICS ••
1. They are human. No vampires. No witches. Human.
2. No one really knows when Lamia Latro first came to be, but it was a long-ass time ago. They do know it started in Rome and centered around the Vatican.
3. Lamia Latro means “vampire hunters” in Latin. Latin is the main language among the writings in their archive. These archives date back to before time was recorded, and have records of some of the oldest vampires alive. (Or undead?)
4. The current owner of Lamia Latro is unknown, but the Superior General is the highest rank after the owner.
5. They started as a group of scholars and warriors meant to hunt vampires, and now work on exterminating both vampires and witches.
6. Their talents vary from historical knowledge, to weapon making, to assassination, or anything that may aid in the extermination of the supernatural.
7. They have buildings all over the world disguised as houses, but their Mother House is in New Orleans; the Magnolia Mansion.
8. They don’t believe in the “Cain Myth” of how vampires were created.
•• POSITIONS ••
1. Superior General is the highest rank after the owner, who is unknown. The Superior General is in charge of everything.
2. Generals are like the Managers of a store. They recruit others, hand out assignments, and take orders from the Superior General.
3. Officers are the people who go out and do the killing. They are highly skilled in combat and were often assassins or guns for hire before they became a member of Lamia Latro.
4. Squints are the lab workers who create the weapons the Officers use. They are also the lab rats, who try and keep track of any suspicious activity in the vampires or witches they may be following. They often work with the police whenever a dead body turns up. There is a wide variety of jobs within the Squints.
5. Historians focus on finding and documenting information on vampires and witches. They are often archeologists and go exploring caves, temples and other such places to find documentation on witches or vampires and their origins. These people must know Latin, since a majority of the archives are written in Latin.
•• WHAT THEY KNOW •• 1. While they know of the story of Cain and the theory that he is a vampire, they do not believe that this is where vampirism started. They also don’t believe it was Vlad. They think it was a disease, or an angry spirit who possessed people and turned them into blood drinking beings.
2. They do know that silver and fire can kill vampires and most of their weapons incorporate such things.
3. Vampires they are aware of: Ramesses, Vlad, Mircea, Elizabeth, Delphine, Coco Chanel, Mother Teresa, Attila the Hun, Eric the Red, and Shakespeare.
4. Witches they are aware of: Liliana Vess.
5. They do not know that the vampire still keep human slaves.
6. They know the most about witches overall, since the Internet has plenty on their spells and rituals.
